You may have spotted the tie-dye flags around town or have even heard about the stellar story times at Augsburg Park, but do you know what Tod Pod is all about? It has been an exciting summer for Richfield, as Tod Pod has made its grand debut in the city, bringing smiles, laughs, and playtime galore to families that live in our vibrant community!
Tod Pod is a playgroup for families with children from birth through five years old who live in or near Richfield, joining alongside the already established Tod Pod Bloomington group. Each week, the group meets for story time with songs, movement, and lots of smiles, followed by open play at Augsburg Adventure Park. Later in the week, they meet again for two hours of open play in one of Richfield's other amazing parks. This time is for kids to play, but also for caregivers to connect with each other, sharing stories, knowledge, experiences, and laughs, in hopes of having fun and growing stronger as a community. There are also special events, such as nature programs too. Consider checking out the Terrific Turtles Nature Program taking place on Friday, August 16th at Wood Lake Nature Center!
Tod Pod was founded in 2020 by the incredible Tara Owens and Ryan Lokken in hopes of creating a valuable resource for families in Bloomington. We are so lucky that Tod Pod is now expanding to Richfield and to have Antara Busse-Rein as the enthusiastic, creative, and amazingly kind leader of the Richfield group.
